About Me

When I was young, I didn't think I would make a living off of my writing.
Why? Because I only did it for fun, actual talent be damned. Growing up, my dream career changed: English teacher (I hate kids!), musical theatre performer, (not my true calling), fashion designer (I can't draw to save my life), and park ranger (where in my country is there a nature park I can manage?).
But when all my English teachers constantly urged me to join the exclusive writing clubs in my school as well as the official school publication, for a moment, I felt like I found my true calling.
Honestly speaking, I didn't feel like I had talent. It didn't matter much to me at the time, either. I just really enjoyed all the writing and reading assignments that were given.
But everything changed when the fire nation attacked— I mean, when I entered university.
It was time to choose: am I really going to pursue writing? It definitely won't be easy given the (much better) competition, and a world that looks down on the creative field. But I was determined.
During my four-year stay at The Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas, majoring in AB-Communication Arts, I focused on... almost nothing else, really.
I joined the official TV and radio station as a scriptwriter, where, during my last year, so many of the members and producers chased me around campus to apply as the official head. I was also a literary writer for the faculty's official newsletter. (On the side, I was also a part of the university-wide musical theatre organization.) You could say I may have finally had an idea on where I was heading with life. (It was not theatre.)
After graduating in 2015, I applied (and was hired!) as a graphic design studio's first ever copywriter. In the last few years, I also held a job as a content and copywriter for an advertising agency, an eCommerce company, and a digital marketing agency. All experiences I treasure.
In the midst of all those jobs, I was doing freelance writing on the side, and also writing for leisure. You could say, almost every second of my day involved writing of some kind.
I guess I'm lucky to have my first true love as also my career — a lifelong passion project.
As of current, due to multiple factors, I've decided freelance writing is what felt the most right for me (and no, it's not just because I am an Aquarius and an ENTP).
I would love to work with you, so don't hesitate to hit me up!
PS: I may always have crazy-colored hair and makeup, but don't let that scare you.
